Suspect Arrested After Women Robbed At Janesville Laundry

A 47-year-old Janesville man was arrested following an armed robbery on the city’s south side Tuesday night, according to Janesville police.

The incident happened at the Excalibur Laundry in the 1900 block of Lafayette Street in Janesville around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to police, James Ahline threatened two women in the laundromat with a knife before taking their purses and leaving on foot.

Police responded with K-9 officers and set up a perimeter. Ahline was found in a wooded area behind a neighborhood grocery store.

He is charged with two counts of armed robbery.

Police said the knife and both purses were recovered at the scene.
