Stricker has hot start at The Greenbrier

Shoots first round 66

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV — Playing only his eighth tournament of 2014, Steve Stricker shot 66 in the first round of The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia Thursday.

Starting on the tenth hole, Stricker made birdies on the 12th, 13th, 14th and 18th holes to shoot 32 on the back nine.

He then parred the front nine for a round of four under par 66 which has him in a tie for tenth place, just two shots behind the leader, Jonas Blixt.

Stricker’s wife, Nicki, is his caddie this week.
