Stranger in his 50s accosts teen at bus stop, police say

A man in his 50s accosted a teen at an east Madison bus stop Friday evening, police said.
The Madison Police Department said a 17-year-old girl was seated inside a bus shelter at East Towne Mall at 6:30 p.m. when a stranger tried to get her to come with him.
The teen told police the man made inappropriate remarks to her, put an arm around her waist and kissed her on the cheek. She got away from him and called her mother, who advised the girl to go inside the mall as police were being called.
The man was described as black and he had a mustache, according to the report. He was wearing a tan hat, tan waist-length jacket and tan pants.
