Stranger asks girl to get in car, police say

MADISON, Wis. — A 14-year-old girl ran to the home of a trusted adult Monday afternoon after a stranger asked her to get into a car, according to a release from Madison police.
The girl was walking home from school on Jacobs Way near Loreen Drive when the man stopped near her. She said he opened the door and asked her to get in. She told police she ran away.
According to an email the Madison Metropolitan School District sent to parents, the middle school student ran to her neighbors house after the man told her to get into his car twice.
The man is described as in his 20s and wearing a gray sweatshirt. He was driving an older model white car in good condition.
