State receives $20,000 grant to combat drugged driving

MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced Thursday that it has been given a $20,000 national grant to address drugged driving across the state.
The grant, given out by the national Governors Highway Safety Association and the Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility, will allow 384 law enforcement officers to undergo special impaired driving enforcement training, WisDOT said in a release.
The state is one of five to receive the grants.
