Stastny, Hartman, Kane moved in NHL trade deadline deals
The Winnipeg Jets acquired center Paul Stastny from the St. Louis Blues on Monday.
The Blues will get a 2018 first-round pick and a 2020 fourth-round pick along with forward prospect Erik Foley in the deal, according to ESPN.
Stastny, 32, will be an unrestricted free agent after this season. He has 12 goals and 28 assists for the Blues so far this season.
The trade was just one of several that went down on Monday’s NHL trading deadline, which arrived at 3 p.m. ET.
— The Detroit Red Wings traded Tomas Tatar to the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for a 2018 first-round pick, 2019 second-round pick and a 2021 third-round pick.
— Evander Kane was traded from the Buffalo Sabres to the San Jose Sharks for center Danny O’Regan, a conditional first-round pick in 2019 and a conditional fourth-round pick in 2020.
Kane, 26, has scored 20 goals with 20 assists for the Sabres this season, his ninth in the NHL. He will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.
— The Chicago Blackhawks traded forward Ryan Hartman to the Nashville Predators along with a 2018 fifth-round pick in exchange for first-round and fourth-round picks in 2018 and prospect Victor Ejdsell.
Hartman, 23, has eight goals and 17 assists in 57 games for the Blackhawks this season. He is scheduled to be a restricted free agent this offseason.
— The Ottawa Senators traded defenseman Ian Cole to the Columbus Blue Jackets for minor league forward Nick Moutrey and a third-round pick in the 2020 draft.
The Senators traded away Cole, 29, after acquiring him Friday from the Pittsburgh Penguins in a three-team trade that also involved the Vegas Golden Knights.
Cole, who did not play for the Senators in Saturday’s 5-3 loss to the Flyers, had three goals and 10 assists in 47 games with the Penguins this season.
— The Blue Jackets also acquired center Ryan Kujawinski from the Arizona Coyotes for centers Jordan Maletta and Carter Camper. In a separate trade, Columbus received Thomas Vanek from the Vancouver Canucks for Tyler Motte and Jussi Jokinen.
— The New York Islanders traded left winger Jason Chimera to the Anaheim Ducks for center Chris Wagner.
— Defenseman Philip Holm went from the Vancouver Canucks to the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for left winger Brendan Leipsic.
