Soglin looks to limit impact on taxpayers in new budget

MADISON, Wis. — Madison Mayor Paul Soglin announced Tuesday that his executive budget required hard choices, and that he will now work with the Common Council to limit the budget’s impact on taxpayers.

The budget will also create 15 new positions for police officers, and send a lot of money toward public safety concerns. The average home is expected to see roughly a $65 tax increase.
