Slow-No-Wake restriction declared on portion of Rock River due to high water

LAKE KOSHKONONG, Wis. — Boaters on the Rock River will need to be mindful of their speed in the coming days.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office declared a slow-no-wake restriction on the river from the W B R Townline Road Bridge to Lake Koshkonong due to high water levels.
The water level for the lake is currently 8.10 feet, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The water level for the river in Afton is 6.61 feet. County ordinances require a slow-no-wake restriction when the lake’s water level exceeds eight feet, and when the river’s water level exceeds 6.50 feet.
Signs will be placed along the river at all public access points between the W B R Townline Road Bridge and Dallman’s Landing to remind people of the restriction.
