Minocqua man found safe after authorities issue Silver Alert

MINOCQUA, Wis. — Authorities in Oneida County say a Minocqua man was found safe Wednesday hours after officials issued a Silver Alert for him.

According to the initial alert, the 80-year-old man was last seen around 7:50 Wednesday morning, but he was found safe just over three hours later.

Officials originally said the man told his wife that he was going to Wausau to a county building possibly near Marathon Park. No other details were immediately available.
