Silver Alert canceled for missing 83-year-old woman

A missing 83-year-old woman reported missing from the Milwaukee area has been found safe.

The Milwaukee Police Department canceled the alert at 11:05 p.m. Thursday after reporting Evelyn Blake was found unharmed, according to a release.

Blake left her residence in the area of West Lisbon Avenue in Milwaukee at noon on Thursday and told family she was going to pick up her dry cleaning, according to the alert. The family did not know which dry cleaner she was supposed to visit, but an alert was issued after she did not return.
