Shots fired on Madison’s east side, police say

Officers are looking for a man in connection with shots fired during a disturbance on the east side early Saturday morning, Madison police said.

Police said officers were dispatched at about 2:20 a.m. to the 900 block of Rockefeller Lane where the suspect had fired a handgun 3 to 4 times. The suspect fled the area in an older blue or green SUV.

According to police, the suspect is male, black and short with a muscular build.

Officers searched the area and found one bullet hole in a vehicle parked close by, police said. They said no injuries have been reported at this point.
