Shirley L. Wood

CROSS PLAINS, WI-Shirley L. Wood, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at the residence of her daughter.

She was born on November 18, 1946 in S. St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Gilbert and Mary (Stoddard) Videen. Shirley worked as a child support specialist for the state of South Dakota for over thirty years, retiring in 2008. Shortly after retirement, she and her husband moved to Green Valley, Arizona where the currently reside. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Roger Wood; daughter, Daryla (Andrew Meinholz) Halverson of Cross Plains; a son, Joshua (Tiffany) Hook, of Houston, TX., three step-children, Ethan Wood, Ben Wood and Leia Wood; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, her father, Gil Videen; four brothers, Jim, Doug, Mike and Mark Videen and four sisters, Jan Coen, Marilyn Bushard, Lori Williams and Linda Kappel. She was preceded in death by her mother, and a brother Roger.

Memorial services will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7600 Cahill Ave., Inver Grove Heights, MN., 55076 at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 9, 2012.
