Shirley Fast (neé Strand)

MADISON-Shirley Fast (nee Strand), age 84, passed away peacefully after a short illness on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at UW Hospital.

She spent the last years of her life very happy at Capitol Lakes Nursing Home in Madison. Shirley enjoyed many activities at Capitol Lake which she participated in enthusiastically. The family is extremely grateful for the wonderful care she received there.

Shirley is survived by her brother, Norm; and sister, Leila Schmudlach. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Geneva (Thorpe) Strand; husband, CW Fast; three brothers, William, Gordon and Eugene; and her sister, Betty.

A Celebration of Life will be held at PARK GLEN SENIOR HOUSING, 201 N. Walbridge Ave., Madison, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017.
