A 52-year-old DeForest man was stabbed Saturday night by his wife after they got into a fight about money when they were drinking, Dane County sheriff’s investigators said.

Dane County officials sent a 911 emergency alert to let citizens in the area know that deputies were searching for a possible homicide suspect because Irina Shevchuk fled the scene, officials said. She was eventually found and taken into custody around 8:30 p.m.
