Sheriff: Warrant searches lead to 2 burglary arrests

Two men were arrested on theft charges after a Grant County Sheriff’s Department burglary investigation Wednesday and Thursday revealed evidence that authorities said links them to the case.

Daniel Degenhardt, 22, of Fennimore, Wis., and Bradley Millin, 24, of Lancaster, Wis., were arrested after authorities conducted search warrants at two area residences.

Grant County sheriff’s deputies were investigating a Nov. 2 burglary that occurred at 4859 Robin Road in Fennimore. During the investigation, they searched a home Wednesday at 430 Monroe St. in Fennimore and another home just south of Fennimore at 10018 Short Cut Rd. in Liberty Township on Thursday. The two men were taken into custody during the searches.

Degenhardt was charged with misdemeanor theft and bail jumping. According to the department, Degenhardt was out on bond from another burglary prior to this arrest.

Millin was charged with felony theft and misdemeanor bail jumping. Millin was also out on a bond for an obstructing-an-officer incident prior to this arrest, according to the department.

Authorities did not indicate the type of evidence recovered in the residential searches.

Grant County Sheriff’s Department said the investigation is ongoing.
