Shell casings found in Fitchburg after shots fired call

FITCHBURG, Wis. — Fitchburg police are investigating a report of shots fired on the city’s northwest side early Saturday morning.

Police said officers were called to the 5100 block of Anton Drive at 1:56 a.m. for multiple reports of shots fired. Officers found several handgun shell casings in a nearby parking lot.

No one is known to have been injured in the incident and no property damage was reported, police said.
