Sharon Lee Mlsna

DeForest Sharon Lee Mlsna, age 73 of DeForest, died peacefully surrounded by her family Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at U.W. Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 20, 1939 in Hillsboro the daughter of Frank and Sylvia (Harris) Subera. She was united in marriage to Cletus Mlsna, in Germantown on July 18, 1959. Sharon loved golf, bowling, and the Packers. She was a great cook and will be remembered for her cut out sugar cookies, the zucchini bread she shared with neighbors and her beef roast. She and Cletus enjoyed camping and boating and jaunts to the casino.

Sharon will be missed by her husband, Cletus of DeForest, three daughters, Debbie (John) Newman of DeForest, Melissa Wallenhorst of Fall River, Carolyn (Mike) Hinkel of DeForest; five grandchildren, Tony, Amber, Samantha, Taylor, Allison; a sister, Dr. Jeanne Connors of Shawano; nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, John and Clara Mlsna; brother-in-law, Kenneth Mlsna; sisters-in-law, Linda Mlsna, Patricia Mueller , Chris Mlsna; and brother-in-law, LaVerne Mueller.

The family extends their appreciation to the nursing staff of the U.W. palliative care unit for their tender care of Sharon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at ST. OLAF CATHOLIC CHURCH, 623 Jefferson Street, DeForest, with Father Robert J. Butz presiding.

Burial will follow at Highland Memory Garden, Cottage Grove.
