Search For Beth Kutz goes on 15 years after disappearance

Family asks for help to find woman missing for 15 years

Columbia County authorities are asking for the public’s help finding the body of a Poynette mother who disappeared 15 years ago.

Beth Kutz, a mother of two, was last seen on July 27, 2000. Her estranged husband, Dan, was convicted of her murder in 2001 and is serving a life sentence. Kutz’s body was never found. Dan Kutz has refused to disclose the location of her body, according to deputies.

Sheriff’s officials said they get fewer and fewer tips each year, but got at least two this year on where her Jeep might have been spotted back in 2000.

They said they look into all tips.

“Our hope is that with the passage of time and the changing friendships and family dynamics, someone will have the courage to come forward with that piece of information that will lead to Beth’s recovery,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

Anyone with information on this case is encouraged to call Detective Lt. Roger Brandner at 608-742-4166.
