Scott Howard

CROSS PLAINS-Scott A. Howard, 29, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013.
Scott was born to Rockney Howard and Sheryl (Meixelsperger) Howard Schaller on July 17, 1983 in Madison. He was a student at St. Francis in Cross Plains and Middleton High School. He graduated from Wheaton Warrenville South High School in Wheaton, IL, where he played hockey on the varsity team. He also attended the College of DuPage in Wheaton, IL.
Scott started playing hockey at the age of 5 and loved the game. He made many fantastic plays bringing his team to victory to the delight of his proud parents and grandparents. He loved cars and detailing them until they were shiny and spotless and also had a love for music. He was kind and warm-hearted even though life brought him many challenges.
He will be dearly missed by his loving parents and family, Rockney Howard, Sheryl Schaller and step-father Dan Schaller; his brothers and sisters, Alexa, Chase and Dylan Howard; Brandon, Tony and Desiree Schaller; grandmothers, Judy Howard and Eileen Van Acker; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and his fiancee Michelle Lamar. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Larry Howard, Harold Meixelsperger,Fred Van Acker and special great-grandfather, Arthur Howard.
A Memorial Mass will be held ST. BARNABAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 Cramer St., Mazomanie at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013.
Scott held dear to his heart the words from the poem “Footprints”: “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints my child, is when I carried you.”
