Sarah Theel

MADISON-Sarah Theel, age 92, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Agrace HospiceCare.

She was born in Madison on March 6, 1924, the daughter of John and Sarah (Scalisi) Parisi. She married Robert Theel Sr. on Sept. 6, 1941, in Madison.

Sarah was a cook for 25 years at Methodist (Meriter) Hospital, retiring in 1988. She was a member of the VFW Post No. 7591 and American Legion Post No. 481 Auxiliary.

Sarah is survived by six sons, Robert (Lola) Jr. of Lodi, Charles (Julie) of Olathe, Kan., Russell (Shirley) of Monona, Jack (Rebecca Lee) of Madison, William (Patti) of Madison and Joe of Marshall; daughter, Pat “Trish” (Wally) Splettstoesser of Madison; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sr.; and her brothers and sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd., Madison, at noon, on Wed., March 9, 2016. Burial will follow the Mass at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Wednesday.
