Samuel Falkenstein

LODI/FORT COLLINS-Samuel Beck Falkenstein passed on Sunday, July 1, 2012, due to complications of diabetes and alcoholism. Sam was born on October 3, 1980 and raised in Lodi, Wisconsin.
He had lived in Colorado the past three years. He was currently a student at Front Range Community College in Fort Collins, Colorado. He was an accomplished skier and snowboarder who loved the mountains. Sam was a loyal team mate and worthy competitor during his high school days in Lodi, earning four letters in golf, three in football and three in basketball. He was a good friend to many people.
His family extends thanks to The Lighthouse and a special friend Charles Renaurd of Fort Collins, for their support and caring. Sam is survived by his parents Bill and Peggy; sister, Anna and fiancé John Meister; and grandmother Bernadine Beck. He was a nephew to Ethel and Jeff Wegner and Jim and Vilma Beck; cousin to Jacob, Sarah, Janessa and Lukas. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mildred Falkenstein; and his grandfather Robert Beck.
Sam was a past member of the Lodi United Methodist Church where a private memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012. He was a beloved son, brother and grandson.
