Sally Jean Luxton

Sally Jean Luxton, 65, of Spring Green, passed away suddenly on December 2, 2022, following a brief illness. She was born on November 30, 1957, the daughter of Lawrence and Eleanor Luxton of rural Ithaca.

Sally graduated from Ithaca High School in 1976. She loved spending time cooking, baking, and gardening with her mother and painting her dad’s projects he made in his shop. She enjoyed reading, sewing and many other crafts that were her hobbies. Sally enjoyed spending time with and hearing about her many nieces and nephews. Sally appreciated her caring neighbors and friends. She was blessed to develop close relationships with many of the staff and residents at Greenway Manor where she resided for the past several years.

Sally is survived by her siblings: Bette (Art) Moon of Reedsburg, Sue (Dick) Greenwood of Reedsburg, Bonnie (Joe) Richards of Ithaca, Larry (Donna) Luxton of Richland Center, Jenny (Roger) Karstetter of Loganville, Tom (Kay) Luxton of Lime Ridge, Jim (Michelle) Luxton of Richland Center, Deb (Rick) Manning of Ithaca; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Eleanor and sister-in-law Sandy Luxton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 9, 2022, at the Pratt Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held in the Lime Ridge Cemetery. The family suggests memorials in Sally’s name be directed to Greenway Manor Activity Department. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
