Ruth Elaine Martin

Verona-Ruth Elaine (Scott) Martin, born April 6, 1934 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 30, 2012 at the age of 77. She was reunited with her parents Beuford and Cleo (Stout) Scott in heaven.

Ruth married Ralph K. Martin in Loyd, Wi on June 11, 1955 and have celebrated nearly 57 years together. Through that marriage they were blessed with four children, Rita (Jeff Hardel)-Verona, Randall (Carmen)-Greenfield IN, Ronald-Verona, Richard (Cindy)-Verona. She was always so proud of her five granddaughters and always had many pictures of her six great-grandchildren.

Ruth was always very active with her church; teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, and due to her love of being in the kitchen, preparing big meals for her church family. She was currently a member of Calvary Bible Fellowship in Fitchburg.

She was further survived by her sister/cousin, Betty Boehmer, sister-in-law, Vivian Chapman and many nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.

Funeral services will be held at MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHURCH, 201 S Main Street, Verona at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 2nd with Pastor Adam Love officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 1st from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 220 Enterprise Dr., Verona. A second visitation will be held on Monday, April 2nd, at the church, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Verona Cemetery.
