MADISON, Wis. — Madison Police said a round of bullets came within about one foot of a person while they were sleeping in their apartment early Sunday morning.

It happened in the 1500 block of Loftsgordon Avenue on the city’s east side.

Police say an apartment there was hit by four rounds of bullets just before 3 a.m. Sunday.

No one was injured, but police are investigating the close call and ask anyone with information to call them or the Madison-area Crimestoppers program.
