Ronald E. “Ronnie” Reine

Ronald E. “Ronnie” Reine, age 65, died suddenly on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at University Hospital. He was born on December 23, 1946, in Reedsburg, WI, the son of John E. Reine and Donna J. Cunningham.
Ronnie grew up on the North-side of Madison. He worked for the City of Madison Parks Department for 14 years. Ronnie was very involved with all Madison sports from the time he was a young man. He was active with the high school sports, the Madison Muskies and most recently the Madison Mallards, where he was awarded the title of Mr. Warner Park. He was also an avid bowler and enjoyed being on a league for many years. Ronnie was one of the kindest and most generous people, who was loved by everyone he touched and was known for visiting with everyone he met.
He is survived by his siblings: Marcia Cox, Jacqueline Buettner, Muriel Millious, John Reine Jr., and Janet (Dean) Fuchs; 18 nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Richard Thorpe and sister, Mae Satak.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2126 N. Sherman Ave., with Rev. Gerry Kuhnke officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2012 at the Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., and also from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Madison Mallards for all of the love and support they gave Ronnie and his family over the years and an extra special thank you to Steve.
