Rock Springs Man Faces Child Porn Charges

A Rock Springs man has been charged with distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography.

A federal grand jury in the Western District of Wisconsin, sitting in Madison, returned an indictment Wednesday charging Anthony J. Bonham, 43.

The indictment alleges that on Aug. 5, 2011, Bonham distributed computer image and video files which depicted minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

The indictment further alleges that on Nov. 16, 2011, he possessed four computer hard drives and a CD-R that contained child pornography.

If convicted, Bonham faces a mandatory minimum penalty of five years and a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison on the distribution count, and a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison on the possession count.

The charges against him are the result of an investigation by the FBI.
