Rock County warrant sweep results in eight arrests

Several people with outstanding warrants in the city of Beloit have been arrested after a warrant sweep Thursday, according to a release from the Rock County sheriff.
Deputies from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office worked with officers from the Beloit Police Department, the Beloit Drug and Gang Unit, the Rock County Special Investigations Unit and Gangs of Rock County to support the Beloit Police Deaprtment’s “Stop the Violence Initiative,” attempting to serve 54 warrants and successfully executing 17.
Eight subjects are being held in the Rock County Jail pending satisfaction of their court-ordered detentions.
