Rescue crews search for missing girl near Monterey Dam

JANESVILLE, Wis. — Emergency crews are searching for a 9-year-old girl who went underwater in Janesville Thursday night.
Rock County dispatch said Janesville police had called at 7:20 p.m. regarding a water rescue at the Monterey Dam.
Family members tell News 3 Now it was a 9-year-old girl who went missing. As of Friday morning, she still hadn’t been found.
Search crews picked up their search at about 8 a.m. Friday.
Rock County Sheriff Troy Knudson said search crews are shutting down the Indian Ford Dam to help facilitate the search part of the river that is particularly dangerous.
