Rock Co. authorities investigating shots fired incident in Beloit

BELOIT, Wis. — Officials with the Rock County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a report of shots fired in Beloit.

According to Rock County Dispatch, law enforcement officials were dispatched to the 2000 block of Milwaukee Road shortly after 9:30 a.m. for a report of shots fired.

Beloit police posted on Facebook Friday morning that the roadway was shut down between White Avenue and Willowbrook Road because of the investigation.

The public has been asked to avoid the area while the investigation is underway.

Dispatch did not have information about potential injuries.
