Robert Ray Howard

JANESVILLE— Robert R. Howard, age 73, of Janesville, died on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at home. He was born in Darlington on August 13, 1938, the son of Charles and Helen (Hemiller) Howard.

Robert served in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and watching the Packers.

He is survived by 4 children: Deb (Stan) Luety and Dawn (Mike) Banker both of Beloit, Diane Mecca of Modesto, CA and Chris Howard of Janesville; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; mother, Helen Forrest of Janesville; brother-in-law, Ron Wenham of Little Chute; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, including his extended AA family. He was preceded in death by his father; and sister, Nancy Wenham.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, Janesville.
