Robert M. Fugate

Robert “Bob” M. Fugate, age 57, of Janesville, died on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at home. He was born in Janesville on Sept. 12, 1955, the son of Robert and Bertha (Williams) Fugate, Sr. He graduated from Parker High School and had been a Janesville resident all of his life. Bob served in the U.S. Marine Corp., and married Judy J. Lewis in Janesville on Oct. 27, 1979. He had been employed by the Chicago Northwestern Railroad, retiring in 1990, and then for Van Galder Bus Company. He enjoyed golfing at Riverside Golf Course, watching the Red Skins, working around the house, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Fugate; son, Travis Fugate of Janesville and his daughter, Hailey, son, Jeremy Fugate of Janesville, son, Luke Fugate of Janesville and his daughter, Nora, and son, Robert Fugate III of Janesville and his family; daughter, Shyla (Silvius) Barrientos of Virginia and her daughter, Adrianna; mother-in-law, Helen Lewis of Janesville; siblings-in-law: Bill (Patty) Lewis of Janesville, Carol (Joe) James of Janesville, Linda (Jeff) Davis of Edgerton, Karen (Lyle) Downing of Janesville, Bob (Diane) Lewis of Janesville, Gary (Kelli) Lewis of Orfordville, Jerry (Becky) Lewis of Janesville, Richard (Brenda) Lewis of Brodhead, Don (Jennifer) Lewis of Missouri and Randy (Phylis) Lewis of Beloit; many other family and friends, especially Karen and Ken Edwards of Janesville and Cindy Gavin of Janesville. He was preceded in death by his parents; and father-in-law, Bill Lewis.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY with Rev. Jerry Amstutz officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME.
