Robert K. Lawver

Robert “Bob” K. Lawver, age 83, of Janesville, died on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Cedar Crest. He was born in Sterling, IL on Sept. 19, 1929, the son of Alvin and Jenny (McCarthy) Lawver. He married Carol M. Weber in Dubuque, IA on Aug. 20, 1971, and together they moved in to Janesville in 1985. Bob had been employed by Eagle Foods, retiring in 1987, and enjoyed golf and bridge.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Lawver of Janesville; 3 children: Scott (Cari) Lawver of Baraboo, Terri Reece of Roscoe, IL, and Janice (Jim) Hamilton of Beloit; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Gene (Bernice) Lawver of Rockford, IL; and 3 sisters-in-law: Kay Kuhse of Iowa, Ruth (Richard) Willmers of Iowa, and Lois (Ronald) Jungers of Iowa; many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin; and brother, John.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at ST. JOHN VIANNEY CATHOLIC CHURCH with Rev. Randy Timmerman officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 to 12:00 noon at the church. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY is assisting the family.
