Robert John Sailing

Cottage Grove/Marshall-Robert John Sailing formerly of Cottage Grove passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Agrace HospiceCare Center, Fitchburg. He is lovingly survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara; his daughters, Gloria (Dennis) Stapelmann, Mesa, AZ, Maria (Dennis) Nieman, Shell Rock, IA, Wanda (LaMont) Davidson, Delhi, IA and Julie Plumley, Williamsburg, PA; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother Dean (Shirley) Sailing, Madison; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents William & Rosina Sailing, infant daughter, Beverly, infant twin sons, William & Robert, Jr., and brothers, Wayne, Kenneth and Floyd. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at the Cress Funeral Home, Sun Prairie. Friends are invited to call on Friday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Committal services with full military honors will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Medina Cemetery, Marshall.
