Robert A. “Rob” Krause

VIROQUA – Robert A. “Rob” Krause, 48, of Viroqua died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, in La Crosse.

He was born on August 13, 1963, in La Crosse to Gary J. and Sandra J. (Heiser) Krause. Rob worked in the family businesses, Krause Monument and Elegant Stone Products in Viroqua. On October 9, 1993 he was united in marriage to Sherri Knutson. He was a member of the Viroqua Eagles Aerie 2707.

Rob is survived by his wife Sherri; son Jeremiah; grandchildren Katelyn and Konner; father and stepmother, Gary (Dian) Krause of Viroqua; grandmother, Deloris Heiser of La Crosse; mother-in-law Marlene Knutson; father-in-law Merlin Knutson; sister-in-law Brenda (Kevin) Hansen; two nieces: Shannon and MaKayla; four nephews: Michael, Logan, Connor and Jacob; and aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Krause; brother Gary Michael Krause; paternal grandparents, Marguerite and Alfred Krause; and maternal grandfather, Bill Heiser.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Main Street in Viroqua. The Reverend Lindsay Paul Jordan and The Reverend Margaret Eiben Hoversten will officiate with burial to follow in Viroqua Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow the services at the Viroqua Eagles Club. The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker (hwy 56), in Viroqua and again at the church on Saturday from noon until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m..

In lieu of flowers and plants, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
