Robbers target east side pizzeria for second time in week
No money taken in latest robbery attempt
MADISON, Wis. — An east side pizzeria was targeted by armed robbers Saturday for the second time in a week, Madison police said.
Police said officers responded to Rosati’s Pizza, located at 4933 Commercial Avenue, at 10:45 p.m. for an attempted armed robbery.
Police said two men entered the business and demanded money. One of the robbers was carrying what appeared to be an assault rifle during the robbery, police said.
No money was taken during the Saturday robbery attempt, police said.
The restaurant owner shared surveillance video that shows the two men entering the store and demanding money.

Police described the first robber as a black man between 18 and 25 years old, approximately 6 feet tall and wearing a black jacket and black athletic pants. The second robber is described as a black man between 18 and 25 years old, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and wearing a black hoodie with a white hoodie underneath, dark cut-off shorts and tan boots.
The incident is similar to an armed robbery at Rosati’s on Tuesday, when a man with an assault-style rifle demanded money and left with $50 .
Anyone with information on either robbery is asked to call Madison police or Madison Area Crime Stoppers.
