Robber flees bank with cash, arrested later, police say
2 arrested in connection

MADISON, Wis. — Police arrested two men Thursday in connection with a west Madison bank robbery.
The Madison Police Department said officers responded to a report of a robbery at Summit Credit Union on South Yellowstone Drive at 10:04 a.m.
A man had left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and a weapon was not displayed during the robbery, according to police.
A witness noticed behavior that drew the witness’s attention toward the bank. Police spokesman Officer Howard Payne said the witness was able to provide details about the suspects.
“(The witness) provided the timely information to the Dane County 911 Center, which allowed for officers to locate two individuals who are thought to be involved in the reported robbery,” Payne said.
Emmanuel Dupocher, 37, of Madison, and David J. Gray, 26, of Sauk City, were arrested on suspicion of strong-armed robbery. Dupocher was also arrested on a warrant, Payne said.
“Many details are still unknown, but further investigative measures are currently being pursued,” Payne said.
