Richard Dean “Dick” Elliott

Richard Dean “Dick” Elliott of Baraboo passed away peacefully on May 23, 2012, at the age of 50 surrounded by loving family and friends. Dick was born in Madison on June 13, 1961, and grew up in the Middleton and Sauk City areas. A 1979 graduate of Sauk Prairie High School, Dick married Lana (Sorg) Elliott on June 23, 1979. Dick and Lana have two children, Dustin (Dayna) Elliott of Georgetown TX, and Erin (Sean) Brennum of Madison. They also have one grandchild, Emma Elliott.
Throughout his years, Dick enjoyed outdoor activities, including trap and bow shooting, hunting, farming with Lana’s family, and camping. Dick also enjoyed socializing with friends and family and shooting darts. Dick was a loyal Badger and Packer fan.
Dick was preceded in death by his mother, Dawn (Schrank) Bohn and his father-in-law John Sorg and in addition to his wife, children, and granddaughter, is survived by a brother, Paul (Karli) Hohlstein, of Georgetown, TX, a brother, Allen Elliott of Middleton, a sister, Connie (Greg) Vasquez of San Jose, CA, and stepbrother Terry (Corrine) Bohn of Madison.
The family would like to thank all of the generous support from friends, family, St. Mary’s Hospital, and Home Health United Hospice.
A memorial service will be held at BETHLEHEM UNITED METHODIST CHURCH in Black Hawk at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Memorials may be given to St. Clare Hospice House.
