Restaurant employee attacked, police say

An employee at Sol Azteca Fusion Grill had several teeth pushed in, and one of them broken, while trying to remove a drunken man from the restaurant, according to a release from Madison police.

Police said Jorge Perez, 19, of Madison, was denied service early Saturday morning and tried to drink other customers’ beers. When an employee tried to remove him, the 39-year-old employee was punched a couple of times in the face and knocked to the ground, according to police.

Others helped hold Perez as police were called.

Perez was arrested on suspicion of substantial battery.
