Nelson, 32, signed a four-year, $39 million contract extension in 2014, but lost the 2015 season to an ACL tear suffered that preseason. He recovered to earn NFL Comeback Player of the Year after leading the league with 14 touchdown receptions in 2016, but struggled again in 2017, managing just 53 receptions for 483 yards and six touchdowns.
