Report: Kidd, Nash, Hill, Cheeks make Hall of Fame
Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Grant Hill and Maurice Cheeks will be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2018, according to a report from ESPN.
While the formal announcement won’t come until this weekend during the Final Four in San Antonio, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski of the inductions.
Kidd and Stockton rank second and third in career assists behind only fellow Hall of Famer John Stockton.

Kidd, a 10-time All-Star who won a title with the Mavericks in 2011, also ranks second behind Stocking with 2,684 career steals and third with 107 triple-doubles, behind Oscar Robertson and Magic Johnson. However, Russell Westbrook is right behind him with 102 so far in his career.
Nash was an eight-time All-Star and won two MVP awards in his 18-year career.
Hill earned two national titles at Duke and was also a two-time American while playing for the Blue Devils. He played 19 years in the NBA, making seven All-Star appearances.

Cheeks won an NBA championship with the 1983 Philadelphia 76ers and was a four-time All-Star. When he retired in 1993, he led the NBA in career steals with 2,310. He now ranks fifth all time.
It is unclear whether any of the other nine finalists, who include Ray Allen, Chris Webber and Rudy Tomjanovich, were selected for the Hall of Fame.
