Red Sox beat Dodgers to take 2-0 World Series lead
David Price limited the Los Angeles Dodgers to three hits over six innings as the Boston Red Sox took Game 2 of the World Series Wednesday night for a 2-0 series lead.
Trailing 2-1 in the fifth inning at Fenway Park, the Red Sox loaded the bases with two outs and tied the game when Dodgers reliever Ryan Madson walked Steve Pearce.
J.D. Martinez then singled to right, bringing home Mookie Betts and Andrew Benintendi to give Boston a 4-2 lead.
Craig Kimbrel closed out the game with a save for the Red Sox.
Hyun-Jin Ryu started the game for the Dodgers and took the loss, allowing four runs on six hits over 4.2 innings.
Game 3 will be Friday at Dodger Stadium. No World Series team has ever recovered from an 0-3 deficit.
