MADISON-Ralph Johnson, age 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg on Tuesday, April 17, 2012.

He was born on December 2, 1926 in Geneva City, IL, the son of Jacob and Erna Johnson. He graduated from Anaconda High School in Montana, and joined the navy at 17 during WWII serving his country with pride and honor. Ralph retired from the Helena Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank and was a lifelong member of First Assembly of God Church in Helena, MT,

Left to celebrate in his memory are his children; Carlyce (Harley) Skjervem of Madison, Martin (April) Johnson of San Diego, CA.; grandchildren; Erik (Krista) Skjervem, Cory (Jackie) Skjervem, Kevin (Colette) Johnson, Kara Johnson, Luke (Christina) Johnson, and five great-grandchildren.

Dad loved his family very much, and he enjoyed fishing, camping, and working in his woodshop. He is now reunited with his beloved wife Dorothy Anderson Johnson, who preceded him in death.

A Celebration of Life will be held at OAKWOOD WEST CHAPEL, 6201 W. Mineral Point Road, Madison at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 23, 2012 with the Reverend Gwen Brandfass presiding.
