Rainbow chairs make appearance at Memorial Union Terrace for Pride Month
MADISON, Wis. — The iconic green, yellow and orange sunburst chairs are a summer mainstay on the Memorial Union Terrace. Now, in celebration of Pride Month, some new colors are temporarily joining the lineup.
From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, the Terrace will have special chairs painted red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple available for visitors to use.
In the 608: Terrace Chairs return to the Wisconsin Memorial Union for 2022
One chair of each color will be available on the Terrace for the first time since June 2019.
Following the chairs’ appearance, the Union is hosting a Pride concert showcase featuring Bear in the Forest, LINE and MQBS.
