Quintana, White Sox shut down Brewers, 4-2

Jose Quintana allowed one run on four hits over seven innings to lead the Chicago White Sox to a 4-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park Wednesday night.
The White Sox scored three runs in the first inning off Brewers starter Jimmy Nelson (1-4).
Melky Cabera hit a sacrifice fly, then Avasail Garcia and Adam LaRoche hit consecutive homers to give Quintana all the support he needed.
Quintana (2-3) walked only one Brewer and struck out 10.
The Brewers scored single runs in the eighth and ninth innings on Gerardo Parra’s infield single and a solo home run by Carlos Gomez.
The Brewers ended their 10-game homestand with a 5-5 record. Milwaukee now hits the road for the next 10 games at the New York Mets, Detroit and Atlanta.
