Purgolders hold off Waunakee

March 8, 2018 — Middleton – Madison East is headed to the Division One sectional championship after a 76-71 win over Waunakee.

Earl Lewis had 19 points to lead East. Mitch Listau had a game-high 28 for Waunakee.

The Purgolders will play Sun Prairie for a ticket to the state semifinals.

Sun Prairie beat La Follette 63-56 behind 32 points from sophomore Jalen Johnson.
