Public health officials look for puppy that bit woman downtown

Public health officials are looking for information about a dog that bit a woman in downtown Madison Friday.
Officials said a brown-and-white speckled puppy bit the woman in the area of East Wilson Avenue around 1 p.m.
According to the release, the dog was probably younger then 6 months old and was only knee height.
The dog was wearing a collar with a yellow tag and was with a white man, 25-35 years old, who said he found the dog and was going to call animal control to find its owner, officials said.
Authorities ask anyone with information on the incident to call 608-255-2345 and ask for the animal services officer.
