Print and Resist Zine Festival celebrates local artists
MADISON, Wis. — Print and Resist, a local design festival, returned to Madison on Saturday to highlight the work of local printmakers and other media artists.
The one-day festival featured exhibitions and sales of DIY books, zines and other works of art.
After a year of isolation and unrest, artworking director Lance Owens says he is looking forward to the sense of community the festival brings.
“The main thing about Zine Fest is it’s a coming together of people from different perspectives with stories to tell about the community,” Owens said.
Since 2014, the festival has taken place at the Central Library. This year, to comply with social distancing guidelines, it was held in four different spaces.
