Prep Mania – Week Two

Madison — The Verona Wildcats steamrolled their way to a 2-0 record with a 61-35 win over Middleton in Week 2 of Prep Mania. Both teams went back-and-forth before Verona’s Haakon Anderson sprinted for a 33-yard touchdown to put the visitors up 34-20. Adam Bekx hit Aubrey Dawkins for a touchdown strike that made it 41-20 late in the third quarter. Middleton never threatened again. The Cardinals fell to 1-1.

In other Big Eight action, Madison Memorial beat La Follette 49-18, Madison West beat Madison East 49-28, Janesville Craig beat Janesville Parker 27-7, and Sun Prairie cruised to a 47-7 win over Beloit Memorial.
