Portions of South Blair Street to close completely starting April 4

MADISON, Wis. — The northbound lanes of South Blair Street will close completely starting next Monday.

The road will stay closed, with the exception of one lane being open on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., until early November. Crews are fully reconstructing South Blair Street, along with the “hairball” intersection off John Nolen Drive.

Signs will be posted on John Nolen Drive directing drivers to use alternate routes. Eastbound traffic on John Nolen Drive that goes beyond Broom Street will have to turn right onto Williamson Street.

Inbound drivers on East Washington Avenue will be routed to Outer Loop to West Washington Avenue.
