Police: Woman steals cash in motel meet-up
Woman left with another man

MADISON, Wis. — A plan for two strangers to meet at a north Madison motel turned into a theft, according to Madison police.
A 25-year-old Edgerton man told Madison police a woman he did not know stole his cash at the Red Roof Inn on Hayes Road early Tuesday morning.
The victim told police he found “Nina” on the website, backpage.com. He told police the two agreed to meet at the motel, but no sex acts were agreed upon. The victim said he only contacted “Nina” for “companionship.”
The victim told police he gave “Nina” $100 on the way to the motel. Once inside, the pair ran into another man who “Nina” knew. Police said she left with this other man, as the victim chased them and asked for his money back.
Police said “Nina” and the other man drove away in a dark blue Chevrolet. The victim told police the other man had mentioned he had a gun in his car, but the victim was never threatened.
The victim described “Nina” to police as a woman in her early to mid 20s, 5 feet 4 inches tall, about 125 pounds with a slender build. She has shoulder-length black hair, and a tattoo on her left thigh. She was wearing a pink and purple striped shirt, purple skirt and pink high-heeled shoes.
The man she left with is described in his mid 20s, 5 feet 9 inches, about 190 pounds with short hair. He was wearing a white shirt, black jeans and a white hat with a green bill.
The victim told police the picture on the website is a different woman than who he met Tuesday.
